Hello everyone!
Today, we headed to Sumilon Island for two dives with our repeat guests, Mr. and Mrs. F!
The current was still ripping, probably due to the spring tide, but during our dive at Lighthouse, we spent a little longer drifting at a deeper depth.
And then…
Wait, what?!
A manta ray?!
As I rushed closer, I realized it was actually a huge spotted eagle ray with its wings spread wide, easily over 2 meters across!
Even F-san thought it was a manta at first. It was so massive that I was honestly blown away. I’ve never seen such a large individual before!
Personally, this encounter made me even happier than seeing a wild whale shark!
I really wanted to spend more time watching it, but the current was so strong that we couldn’t stay in one place for long.
And today was also F-san’s birthday!
We celebrated the special occasion with a birthday cake on the boat!
Happy Birthday, F-san! We hope you had a wonderful day and made some unforgettable memories underwater with us!
Thank you for diving with us again!
